Responsible Gaming
OBSERVE: Responsible gaming at blaze means making informed, conscious choices about gambling as entertainment, not a source of income.
EXPAND: We provide practical tools (limits, time-outs, self-exclusion), clear information, and access to professional support so you can stay in control.
REFLECT: If you are concerned about your play, our team at [email protected] will assist confidentially and without judgment. Gambling is restricted to adults who meet the legal age in their province or territory.
Risk Awareness
OBSERVE: Problem gambling can develop gradually and may be hard to recognize.
EXPAND: Common signs include: increasing bet frequency or amounts; chasing losses; gambling with money needed for essentials; preoccupation with gambling when not playing; neglecting work, studies, or relationships; hiding play from others; borrowing to gamble; irritability when trying to cut down; using gambling to cope with stress, anxiety, or depression.
REFLECT: Early recognition allows for timely use of limits, time-outs, or support services listed below.
Self-assessment (quick check)
- I often gamble longer or spend more than I planned.
- I have tried to cut down but keep returning to the same patterns.
- I think about gambling when I should be focused on other things.
- I chase losses to "get even."
- Friends or family have expressed concern about my gambling.
- I feel guilt, stress, or irritability related to my gambling.
If you answered "yes" to two or more, consider setting strict limits, taking a time-out, or contacting the support resources below.
Limits & Tools
OBSERVE: Limits help you predetermine safe boundaries for time and money.
EXPAND: At blaze-ca.com you can set and manage limits directly in your account. Lowering limits takes effect immediately; increases are subject to a cooling-off period to protect you.
REFLECT: Use the strongest controls that fit your situation; combine monetary and time controls for best results.
Deposit limits (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Sign in at blaze-ca.com and open Profile -> Responsible Gaming -> Deposit Limits.
- Select a period (Daily, Weekly, Monthly).
- Enter an amount in CAD that you can comfortably afford (e.g., Daily $50, Weekly $150, Monthly $300).
- Confirm. Lower limits apply immediately. Requests to increase are only applied after a cooling-off period (minimum 24 hours for daily; up to 7 days for weekly/monthly), and you must reconfirm after that period.
Time spent controls (session timer and reality checks)
- Go to Profile -> Responsible Gaming -> Play Time Controls.
- Enable Reality Check (e.g., every 30 or 60 minutes). You will see a pop-up with session duration and an option to continue or log out.
- Set a Session Limit (e.g., 60-120 minutes). You will be logged out automatically when the limit is reached.
Short breaks ("Time-Out" for 24-72 hours)
- Open Profile -> Responsible Gaming -> Time-Out.
- Choose a period: 24, 48, or 72 hours.
- Confirm. You will be unable to deposit or wager until the time-out expires; withdrawals remain available by contacting [email protected] if you cannot log in.
Regional Compliance Note (CA): Limits apply only on blaze-ca.com. They do not cover other sites or land-based venues. Consider device/site-blocking tools listed below for broader protection.
Self-Exclusion
OBSERVE: Self-exclusion is a stronger safeguard for individuals at risk of harm.
EXPAND: blaze provides platform-level exclusions. Because blaze is not provincially registered in Canada, provincial self-exclusion programs do not automatically apply to blaze-ca.com, and vice versa.
REFLECT: Choose the longest period that supports your recovery; combine with external blocks and professional help.
How to self-exclude (temporary or permanent)
- Sign in -> Profile -> Responsible Gaming -> Self-Exclusion.
- Select a duration:
- Temporary: 6 months, 1 year, 2 years
- Permanent (lifetime): irreversible account closure
- Read the notice, tick the confirmation box, and select Confirm.
- If you cannot access your account, email [email protected] from your registered address with "Self-Exclusion Request (CA)" in the subject. For identity protection, we may require verification.
Consequences of self-exclusion
- Access: You cannot log in or place bets until the exclusion ends; permanent exclusions are not reversible.
- Marketing: We will cease sending promotional communications to your registered contacts within a reasonable processing time.
- Funds: You may request withdrawal of any remaining real-money balance by contacting [email protected]. We cannot refund losses incurred prior to exclusion.
- Open bets: Settled according to event outcomes; no preferential cancellations.
- Reactivation: Temporary exclusions end automatically at expiry; any removal of protections requires an active request and a further cooling-off review.
Regional Compliance Note (CA): Consider enrolling in your provincial self-exclusion program (e.g., Ontario "My PlayBreak," BC GameSense Self-Exclusion, Québec Auto-exclusion Loto-Québec) for coverage across provincially regulated gambling channels. These programs are separate from blaze.
Support Resources
OBSERVE: Independent, confidential help is available 24/7 in Canada and internationally.
EXPAND: Use the most local resource available; where none is listed, call 211 or 811 to be routed to provincial services. Professional counseling and peer groups complement the technical tools provided on blaze-ca.com.
REFLECT: If you are in immediate danger or feel unable to stay safe, contact emergency services (911) or the nearest crisis line.
